I have been up and running as the Labour Munster Euro candidate for some time now - many are saying that I went straight into it after our convention last July (but I can assure them I did take a short break). I am only the candidate though and very proud to represent my great party and I thought it was now time to give people an insight into my campaign team. We meet every week and I am always amazed by the volume of work that they all seem to get through.

Ciaran Lynch TD is my Director of Elections. He is a good colleague, very hard working and most of all someone who knows how to win. Ciaran is full of ideas and really will pull out all the stops in order to ensure we have a successful campaign.

Jan O'Sullivan TD is someone I have always admired and worked closely with. I've known Jan since before she was elected in 1998 and as most people are aware I would be very close to many people in the Limerick East constituency.

Niall Greene Chairs the campaign meetings and has been involved in the Labour party for many decades, holding various national positions. I have great respect for Niall and I am delighted that he is involved at this level.

George Cummins is the Munster Regional Organiser of the Labour party. He is a workaholic and a logistical mastermind. Not alone that, he has great political intellect and is most of all a passionate Labour supporter.

Jim McGrath is the Press Manager. He is a former journalist with the Sunday Tribune, Daily Mail and Nenagh Guardian. Jim is a fantastic fella and a great media person with loads of ideas. A Tipperaryman, his claim to fame is that he is a former intercounty hurler - with Cavan!

We also have designated canvass directors in each area. They are too many to name, but they do an excellent job in ensuring that the European campaign and the local campaigns are co-ordinated and run smoothly.

I better not forget my back up team in my office, who work with me every day doing all and everything thrown at them - Tracey, Deirdre and Johnny. They are also assisted by Noelle, Timmy, Liam, Regina, Mike and many more.

Last of all, I have to say that in reality my campaign team is made up of ALL the members of the Labour party throughout the 5 counties of Ireland South/Munster. They are the foot soldiers, who I respect so much. They give me so much support and motivation and its my intention to give them somthing to celebrate in June.
