Labour Doing Well in the Polls!

The recent polls have been a huge boost to the Labour party. The recent MRBI poll had us at 24%, while the latest Irish Independent/Millward Brown IMS Poll has my party at 22% and this was followed by the Sunday Business Post/Red C poll, which puts Labour at 22%. All these polls are showing a huge surge of support for the Labour party - many of them in double digits. There are many reasons for this surge and chief amonsgt them has been the performance of our party leader Eamon Gilmore. He has been head and shoulders ahead of everyone else in the Dail over the last year and this is bearing fruit now. Eamon is a honest, sincere and passionate politician, who has conviction and great leadership qualities. Also, the policies adopted by my party over the last number of months have been in tune with the public, whether on the banking crisis, the budget cuts, healthcare policy, education policy or the lack of innovation from this Government in order to stop the loss of jobs and /or create new opportunities.
