Before Christmas I turned  the sod for the new school in Carrig, Ballycommon.  In late 2014 I announced that the school had been granted funding for a new build.    The project at the school consists of a two storey build to provide an eight classroom school.   The protected structure on the site is being retained and this together with the prefabs will provide accommodation when the construction is taking place.
I am pictured with Martin Nolan, Clerk Of Works, Fr Willie Mc Cormack PP, Adrian McIntyre (Board of Management), Brian Hanly,(Chairperson Board of Management), Mairead O Halloran, Principal,Margaret Grace ((Board of Management),Paul Henry (Pinnacle Homes) PJ Fogarty, Site Foreman, Jeanette Seymour (Board of Management),Maire Comer (Board of Management) and Perry Maloney (Deputy Principal)
