FURTHER FALL IN LIVE REGISTER WITHIN TIPPERARY – KELLY

Issued : Thursday 4 September, 2014

Local TD and Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government Alan Kelly has called the latest live register figures “positive” for Tipperary. The figures released last week see a decrease of 8.92% on the Live Register in North Tipperary compared to August 2013 and South Tipperary sees a fall of 8.10% in the same period.

“This is further evidence of the recovery occurring now throughout the country. This is a significant fall, however I am hoping that in the coming year we see an even greater amount of people coming off the live register. This can be achieved by more positive job announcements, like the 46 jobs I announced last week in South Tipperary through the firm Pinergy.” said Minister Kelly.
